Phillypete how well a 1/10 4wd buggy will deal with an 1/8 track comes down to the condition of the track. No 1/10 buggy feels like an 1/8 buggy but the more you drive in any class the higher your experience level which only helps.
If the track is typically smooth and groomed with good jump takeoff faces the 22-4 should do fine. They jump well even on the typical larger 1/8 size jumps. If the track is allowed to blow out and get rough you will find a 1/10 4wd buggy will get tossed around quite a bit although the 22-4 should deal with rough tracks better than any other 1/10 4wd buggy.
Another vehicle to consider for both the 1/8 and 1/10 tracks is a SCTE 2.0 4wd sc truck. They handle rou 1/8 tracks and any 1/10 track very well. Of course how popular sc racing is compared to how much fun you WILL have running a 22-4 on a 1/10 track is a rou decision.
