Another thing is if you are using the charge lead from the lipo to connect to the deans connector on your ESC, those birdcage connectors are junk. They are fine for a few amps in charge/discharge duty, but I wouldn't run the vehicle with those.
Dakotah Phend has used the caged connectors his entire career and has never had an issue. He is arguably one of the top 5 US drivers and is currently doing VERY well at the Cactus Classic.
Just a fun fact for you. I still use the solid bullets regardless.
