- Very little airflow to motor based on layout, so temps are more

- Rotation of motor relative to drivetrain causes issues with having proper in-air pitch control. So in comparison to other vehicles, you can't easily drop the nose or bring it up like a traditional 3 diff design vehicle

- Out of the box has no center diff option from AE, just a slipper pad setup

- No rear toe block options for more or less toe like other AE vehicles. This can make a world of difference in traction seen on low traction surfaces

- Doesn't appear to have the attention of AE like other vehicles, and has a lack of setups relative to loose traction conditions where the vehicle has come across as lacking.

The aftermarket has provided very nice solutions to a lot of the issues, with big benefits seen from M2C, RC Shox, and Exotek to name a few. Probably the last one to be worked would be in air attitude control. A counter gear setup like what RC Shox tried and what Shark413 has made seems to be very promising.
+1 I am a former owner like yourself, and I tried many different things along with not giving up on this truck as quickly as others did at my local track...but man was that a mistake and very frustrating! I really wanted this truck to work for me...
