Guys running stock buggy will take almost all of the lip off to keep speed on the straight of a bigger track.
Mod motors don't have that issue.
It will affect flight and mid to high speed handling, if you are looking for more rear end bite, leave more on.

Good way to test is leave one wing with most of the wing and cut a majority out of the other. What works best for you?
