i usually do something like this:



to do it you don't need to spend much
you only need a pitch black room, a reflex(or a camera you can set manually) and a flash (or a point and shot camera with flash)

you just take multiple pictures using only the external flash as a light source(pointed in various zones) and after that you stitch it together in photoshop

the nice thing is that you don't even need a black drop for your background
