Just replace the pads you don't need to replace the spring. Make sure that you keep your finger oils off of the pads and the discs that press against them as it will impact the performance of the slipper. You may not even need new pads, have you sanded them? They are probably glazed.
Why would you want to get a new SC500 esc? I'd be looking for something aftermarket, it will be better quality.
