I had that exact same issue.

In my case the screws(part #6917) were just loose enough to allow the servo to move very slightly against the servo mount as a result of me taking a tumble/crash. Take the servo out of the car and see if you are able to tighten the screws(part #6917) to the servo mount (part#1779) so that you are sure the servo is tightly secured and not shifting in a wreck/tumble.

After I secured the servo properly to the mounts, I didn't have to adjust the trim after a wreck. I hope this helps.
