The hobbywing esc is not SSR compatible that's why it doesn't respond. The bind process is working because you have a solid blue light on the rx. SSR is specific to each channel and so if you have an SSR compatible steering servo you can set steering to SSR and throttle to norm then rebind and all will be well. Otherwise set both to norm. If never felt any difference between the two modes anyway!!
