Never really concerned myself with what others think. I guess it's not a whole lot different than any other recreational activity like playing golf or fishing..if it's relaxing and takes one's mind off of daily B.S. then it's a good thing IMO..

We skip lunch to take a short break and bolt early so no break/lunch RC time but at the end of the day on occasion I'll bring out the stampede to go rummaging through the terrain.
I'm an electrician so when we are on new jobs the job site is a playground for a monster truck! I get the attention of a few guys but I haven't gotten them to rally up at the store yet, only to get a few into the idea of going BACK to the hobby.
