The 3 ring binder of set up sheets , the frantic pit chatter of "what should I do ?", the bad advice, the unwillingness to listen . Suspension is a funny thing , the more simple you make it seem to someone , the less the think you know what your doing . I have a 3 ring binder that I take to the track with not only printed setups but all the oil piston gear etc etc charts I find on the net. Used for reference, remembering all those numbers and details is difficult. Sometimes it's also nice to read something that confirms your thinking. However fwiw I work on my car less than anyone I see. At the end of a run when back in the pits I usually sit and look at my car for a while. Pull out the book, sit and think some more. Maybe a little adjustment and clean the tires. Think, tweak, run again.
I can make a cool bomb from memory but I would need a binder to be a rocket scientist.
