well for the savage i was talking to the guy at my lhs other day and he was telling me the savage was a pain to work on he said just to change a spur gear the motor had to come off! Im not really wanting to spend 3 hours just to change a gear. now with the others i know i may have to wait three days to get parts after ordering but after waiting that long to recieve them i dont want to spend half the day putting them on.
First lesson of RC: what LHS employees tell you is based on what they have to sell you. I.e. forget it(for the most part).
For a basic basher MT, the Savage has to be pretty high up there. I much prefer my LST2's to Savages, but yeah, with the XXL discontinued I have to rearrange my preferences re what's available.
MGT, Savage, XXL - get whichever floats your boat. They're all good.
