I would have to see pics of your setup. I will just say that hard case batteries will rarely crack if secured properly in the vehicle.
If they have a tiny bit of room to wiggle around, they will absorb a LOT of forces. That is why foams are generally used to suspend the battery. You can't allow them to move and potentially bang into a solid part of the vehicle. That is too much for these batteries.
