I agree 100% with you that this is the best option, is just that I was already into other upgrades that this Rubicon needs (like aluminum suspension and steering links, hub carriers and other accessories that I ordered already or I'm looking at) and was looking a a quick/cheap alternative while I get the chance to have a more permanent and better solution. But will look at this system you recommend today maybe I just spend the extra $$ and just solve the issue. Question, is the 3rd channel in this radio a reversing or 3 position switch or will I have to make any modification? I'm asking because I already have a Traxxas TQi (4 channels I use in my Traxxas Slash VXL) and was thinking on buying just the receiver to control my slash as well as the SCX10 with the same controller but read that I will have to change one of the switch in the TX because is just an on/off or a 2 position switch and the winch will need a 3 position on/off/on-reverse? function.
