I didn't check it, becuase it came built from the factory. Now that I took a look at it, the nut was very loose. My fault for not checking!

Have you built them correctly?

Did you manage to damage the o-ring seals during assembly?
(eg putting the shaft thread thru can rip the seal/s)

Might need to rebuild them using new o-rings.
I built them according to the instructions that came with the Savage. I screwed the caps down until they just made contact with the O-rings. I checked out the shocks again and it looks like the problem came from the manufacturing of the shock itself. There is a lthin ine of plastic that runs perpendicular to the threads (where the cap screws on), which I think may be preventing a good seal.
