Why would you choose the 977 over the Xray?
I don't have any experience of the RX8 apart from I know the spares are very expensive and I've heard you need to buy lots of option parts as the car is not race ready per se as the 977. I run my 977 pretty much stock and it flies. Spares are readily available and the customer support you get at the major events directly from Serpent as well as Serpent America is second to none. Go for the 977, I promise you won't be sorry you did.
