If the steering isn't centering the problem is usually the Tamiya servo saver. Check if there is any play in it and replace it if it is worn. I always throw them away and fit a Kimbrough servo saver instead, much more reliable and doesn't wear like the Tamiya ones do.

In the Tamiya servo saver there should be three springs, two smaller ones and one bigger one. The smaller ones go on first then the biug one ober the top of them.
