If you have high quality esc, you will have different settings. The Novak GT7 has setting for 4-cell, oval, smooth mod, punch mod, smooth stock, punch stock, and custom profile.
For more punch, your best bet would be punch stock. This will use the most battery and motor, and give you harder acceleration. If you choose this, along w/ good motors and well maintained batteries, you should be fine.
