I have broken a few Jacos here and there -- but when I did, I was usually not too surprised!
I have not used the TRCs but they look pretty cool. I would probably make your decision based on what is easiest (or cheapest) to get at your local track/hobby shop. Perhaps someone can comment on the durability of TRC vs. Jaco.
