17.5 has become rather useless for a class in racing offroad...
I know this is off topic and been ranted on over and over, but racing at my local track this weekend, many of the 17.5 guys run their buggies and SCT trucks in with the mod classes just for fun and half of the 17.5 field can place well in the A or B main of mod.
The 17.5 class is way to fast and half the guys running 17.5 really should move up to mod. There is little to no class for the intermediate drivers and it is killing our hobby!
I watched 2 newer drivers in 17.5 stock that are decent newer drives. They are way to fast for the rooking or novice class but get lapped way to many times by the guys in 17.5 stock buggy. They would have to just pull over 3-4 times per lap to let one of the fast guys drive by because of the vast difference in skill level.
There really is no point to these classes any longer unless they were to develop newer drivers, we may as well just go back to one open class per chassis.
Sorry... Rant over!
