I can verify - will not bind to Orange DSM2/clone receiver.
No problems binding to Spektrum DSM2 receivers, registers as DSM2/5.5ms frame rate (if thats what framerate you chose). The SR410 appears to live up to the "sport" moniker and binds as DSMR/11ms, while the SR2000 as DSMR/5.5ms.
I'm guessing this is one of the true "upgrades" of this radio from the manufacturers perspective to prevent binding to clones. And I suppose it is their right to do so, but does suck for those trying to save some cash on receivers for their multiple vehicles.
