Thanks for all of the people contributing to this thread. I know the LiPo question get a little repetitive, but just when I thought I knew everything about affordable LiPo packs, I have learned I have a lot more options than I realized!

absolutely, you can run anything that will fit in your battery slot! My son runs full stick 40C SMC's in his SCT, I run shorty packs (Vant and Turnigy) in my stock buggy and I run Reedy Wolfpack saddles in my 4wd mod buggy.
