I wish the club success...to give folks a place to enjoy racing in any form, be it off-road or on-road. What does it matter?
Here's the thing Spike.
There is no "summer on-road" season - when the carpet gets put away, on-road guys are pretty much done for the year.
Not so with off-road. When outdoor tracks close up for the winter, they go indoors and rarely miss a week of racing. They might go to MARCCA carpet off-road or maybe to Trackside, should you prefer dirt.
With on-road, it takes a bit for folks to get back in the groove, to drag their stuff off the shelf, and then fit it in their schedules. It takes a bit, especially when the location/venue changes from year to year.
Towards the end of the year, the on-road program generated an awesome turnout long after the indoor off-road program essentially died. Not a bad thing, it's just the way of things - it's all good.
It's a not-for-profit club, that has a mission statement to provide a place for RC car enthusiasts a venue to enjoy our hobby. If someone turning on the lights to let a few guys practice or race, what's the harm? How can that be a bad thing?
