+2 (my son runs USGT as well) What I don't like, and I think many would agree, is the guys that just buy a legal body, spray it one color, skip any decals and simply run a clam shell. No effort towards realism. That misses the point of having a scale class. Then its just hardware. The concern about true GT vs. Prototype is shades of gray to me. Of course, the same thing happens in VTA too.
I suck at painting and do not enjoy painting... Simple as that. I am sure "real" VTA and GT cars were raced at some point with 1 color... I run USGT and USVTA mostly because 17.5 is 2 freaking fast on small tracks and 17.5 bodies all looks the same. I don't care about 1 color paint. I do think people should at least put the headlight and break stickers on...
