I'm helping a new racer get his new TC4 ready to race VTA this weekend. As soon as he said the gears I picked out for him wouldn't go together I remembered we need to modify the motor mount cam. I did this once about 4 years ago...refresh my memory what I need to do.

If you can get your hands on a 55t or 60t 48p Robinson spur it bolts right in and the only grinding you need to do is remove the web below the motor mount. I have used anywhere from a 35 (indoor carpet) to 41 (outdoor asphalt) tooth spur depending on the track.
