If you race indoor the 44.1 is still a great ride....
Just install the 12mm shock and your all good ...
I beg to differ. Parts that differ

1. Longer rear deck
2. Longer slipper shaft
3. VTS Slipper
4. Longer rear dogbone
5. Shocks
6. Battery holders (ok this is trivial)
7. Body of course

The longer chassis and shocks make the car more stable but sacrifice a little in the turn in. But that can be mitigated by setup.
