I have both a Zero S and an XI Sport, but I use my Zero S in VTA. I have my XI Sport set up for 17.5 sedan racing. I see no reason why it wouldn't be a solid performer in VTA. It's got a narrower chassis, open motor mount (better gearing options), front spool and better rear gear diff than the Zero. I may eventually switch my XI Sport as my VTA racer if I ever decide to change to another car for 17.5 sedan. If you're on the fence about it, I say go for it. It's a solid car for the money.
cool.. for the XI sport - did you add any updates, or are you running it box stock?
it looks pretty nice out of the box, but i'm not too crazy about the bulkheads in plastic or the fiberglass shock towers
are the shock bodies plastic or aluminum? I know they're threaded, but can't tell and 3racing don't say on their site
