In response to the sliding battery tray idea (or a different tray or a mold revision), there's nothing currently in the works. Maybe down the line there could be but right now it's not something we're thinking a lot about.

Iam building my eb48.2 now bit by bit and enjoying it
Maybe drop the mechanical brake option if it has not been that popular and re design the battery tray to move up and down like the nb48 motor adjusting ability
By dropping brake feature in mould it will give you more overall adjustability but you have the center diff to deal with to this will limit the movement down the chassis.
What if the centre diff was to be turned around as standard it will place a little more weight to the rear to help with added rear traction but as a penalty you will have to use a long shank pinion but will give you more room for tray to slide downwards!

I quess there's a few things for tekno to think about
