The conversion based sct's have very efficient drive lines though. In both my Mugen and Tekno sct I can't get my motor over 145°. That's with stupid timing. I usually run 20° esc timing and after about 12 to 13 minutes when my 6.9v lvc kicks in I'm at 135°. Actually, I get to 135° in about 4 or 5 minutes and it stays there.

If I ran a lower mah pack, I would have less time getting to the same lvc. It all depends on the car, electronics, ambient temps and so on.

But nothing wrong with play g it safe as you suggest.
