I really thought the whole advantage of Nimh, besides the better run time, was the ability to use them whenever you pleased.

Meaning, it doesn't have to be fully discharged before being fully recharged, so that theoretically providing the temp was low enough, you can take the batt out of the car after a run, and pop it right into the charger.

This is what I thought, and what I was told by whomever I've asked. Which makes sense.

Is it possible all this "babying" is superstition more than what's really necessary?

I certainly hope so , because man, what a pain in the ass.
