i just took the diff apart, it looks to be the bearing in the spur gear thats causing the wobble, took it off stuck another bearing in, straight as an arrow.

all the rest is fine..so will need a new spur gear bearing
Pretty much all pan cars use a small thin shim on the rear axles. This is so the hubs only put pressure on the inside race of the bearing when cornering. You still need to have a small gap so that the bearings are not under any side load from the hubs when the car is sitting still. If the hubs put any pressure at all on the bearings when the car is sitting still then the car will pull to one side. Sometimes even the stock grease that comes packed in the bearings is enough drag to cause the car to pull to one side even.

As for the bearing in the spur gear...that should not affect the axle in any way. The spur gear will have a little wobble in it naturally...if it did not the diff rings would be rubbing on the gear instead of only putting pressure on the diff balls. Unless you mean one of the bearings inside the right side hub...that could cause wobble.
