The M05 / M06 have a little cart ridge that the bearing sits in when you use the gear diff. When you install the M05 ball diff, you no longer use the cartridge. Its a bigger bearing, not sure of the size, my M06 is in storage along with most of my RC stuff
I just looked up the M05 ball diff on Tamiya America's site and it uses 10 x 15 mm bearings...looks like a no go.
In terms of updating our TA03's, I have been looking into either finding current suspension arms that either fit within the current arm mounts or outside. That way we could use current knuckles, carriers, and maybe find some CVDs that would work as well.
I love my 03, but I know there will be a day I run out of spares...lol I guess the next best thing at the moment, is a XV01. I want find a used roller because they are a bit too expensive right now.
