I love the SMC packs performance so I'm not bashing them, sorry if it sounded like that. My gripe is why should I have to pay 70% of FULL PRICE (which is roughly 20% more than what the current price is) to replace two packs that as far as I'm concerned weren't sealed properly from new? I don't see my issue as being a "damaged" pack. They split open the first day at the track!!
I'm not sure what is exactly going on in your case but I do know that if the 6 ECO tray is not fixed properly.... it tears up packs of any brand. I run SMC packs and have zero issue in my ECO(I fixed tray). They are high quality packs. I'm guessing that you probably haven't fixed your tray and are seeing the consequences of that. It likely really isn't an SMC issue at all. It's a Mugen design flaw.... and it's damaging your packs. Of course there is the possibility that something was wrong with a new pack BUT two having the same issue is highly unlikely. You probably just got lucky that your other packs didn't see the same fate from the tray.

Also, how many other manufacturers will give you a nice discount on their product even if the damage has nothing to do with them? SMC takes a loss to try and help a little. That's pretty decent of them.
