Have you tried taking the ballstuds on the steering knuckles and flipping them to the other side? That may help with bump steer. Not sure how it's set up on the HotShot, but on the TA02 (which uses the same type of steering knuckles), the ball stud is mounted facing down...
Points down on the Shot. I messed around with it a little last night trying different holes in the knuckle and no better. They use a really long stud too, I think in order to keep the tie rod from fouling the lower spring cup. Any closer to the knuckle and it would be knocked off by the shock under full compression.
From what I've read on the various boards it's pretty much a "yeah, it's gonna do that" type of thing.
