Kreator--sounds bad, but check that you have the diff in the correct alignment holes i.e. both nubs are in 4 forward or 4 back. I watched a local tear his hair out along with going thru 2 or 3 belts.
Aside from that you should not be going thru belts often. If you race Open Mod often maybe every 2 months. That would be on carpet with locked center and a spool.
