Well my ESC can do timing but this is for 17.5 blinky so per rules that is a no no...as I assume changing rotors and sensor boards would be. Is that assumption correct?

1 thing though, those pics show 2 different versions of the v3.0 motor. The 1st pic is the one you want. The pics mounted in a TC is the drift version, it has an internal fan. Yes, it comes with bullets.
That is why he highlighted SIMULATE, as in practice. Boards are changeable & I'm all but positive the rotors are changeable as long as they are roar approved.
I don't run 17.5 blinky so I can't recomend it, or anything else, for that, but I love my 8.5t.
