I am not sure what the thread count is on the tie rods, but you could aways use a tap. Because it will actually remove the material as it cuts. I assume they are 4-40, but unsure. I use lunsfords with my rpm's. and I think lunsford punisher are thicker and thus even tighter. But I only had the cup come off a couple times when new. no issues now. My cup never come off during a race, but sometimes I wish they would to save the arm or tower, lol.
