The holes are in the same location as the original arms with the addition of a hole above the outer hole. That allows you to run the shocks in the outer location while retaining full droop. One thing to watch out for with the new arms is that if you hit something hard enough to break one, you will probably kill other parts too. I had one impact that did not break the arm but bent the hinge pin so much that it pulled out of the holders and mangled the shock. I have gone back to running the original arms on the front with the XT arms on the rear.
+1 i tried the xt arms up front and had similar results. The hinge-pin-hole on the arm was warped and the hinge-pin was bent badly. The arm didn't break, but i have since switched to the regular arms so i get a clean break if it does happen.
