yes you could but theres no point.

a diff costs between £30-£40 and a spool costs about £20

if you was on about glueing your current diff then you'd ahve to get a spare (well you wouldnt HAVE to but it would be better) because you just glued your current one if you get what i mean...so its worth the extra £20 at the time to get a proper spool.
