about the black coating i doubt it reduces efficency because its been used on the new OS engine like the TR series and MSPEED do them also to all there motors
I may be wrong, i just figured any coating between the aluminium and the air would reduce the ability to shed heat, well who knows. It either helps cooling or the cool factor...
