At least for me. I will be going back to the 1.4x3's all around. As far as the esc on the tray, dirt worked its way under my servo tape and the battery slid back knocking the esc loose. it was contained with the motor wires. The jury is out for me on the esc in the tray. honestly, changes to my shocks have a much bigger impact in feel than the esc location. I am serious looking at slapping on my t4 chassis next week. my car is way too twitchy for me on my outdoor local track.
+1 for me, 1.4X3's are the BEST I have tried, even better than a set of avids I tried. I run on high bite clay and I swear by the esc in the tray behind the battery. But it works for me so I am leaving it there. I think I wanna try those factoryone shock bushings next. Otherwise I am very happy so far!
This is the set-up I am using, only difference is I use a lil more weight, 1/2oz up front and 1/2oz in the back
