In the last week or so rebuilt a few "modded engines" from 3 different companies, lets just say I was not impressed with any of them. Most charge $80-$100 more and I am pretty confident that it would be less than a 5% improvement.

Here is a pic of an Alpha crank I drilled before silicone, some guys barely drill in at all and fill it.




The last engine I worked on looks like it came from Australia, they have some pretty wild engines down there. The thing that disturbs me about this is it takes away so much counterbalance weight. And the crank window was really opened up also.
