You can actually get away with leaving your steering assembly as is if you use the Novak Three80 BL system with the Edge 2S esc. I only flipped my steering bellcrank to the other side because it touched the motor wires. The Novak motor puts out 6000kV and rips with the stock gearing, although it's a bit high for that kV rating, so it runs on the edge of 150*F.

I've just put in some 48P RR spur gears so I have a better selection of gearing options. I haven't tested the new ratio yet, 72/19, but hopefully I haven't lost too much top-end in order to get the motor temp down lower, and even longer run times. It already runs about 20mins with the stock gears btw.

You have very smooth lines around the track, so with the Novak system you would definitely pass that other driver as his car doesn't look fast at all.

How do those Sweep tires handle?
