Pipes
I've never run things just because everyone else runs them. I make my own decisions based on testing the pipe and header combos.
The 2096 is a great pipe although I rarely use it, It seems to be the most well rounded pipe, but I typically run the 9853 41001 header on smaller tracks or tracks with tough to clear jumps, and for bigger tracks the 9886 41001 header is really good. I ran that combo at Thornhill with a Clocked btt wc, It's big wide open track and flowed nicely and allowed me to run the engine right on tune and not too lean and make silly top end. it was just easier on the engine and stayed consistent and cooler than 3 chambered pipes do. The 2096 runs great but wants the top leaned slightly too much to make higher rpm's. Not really a big deal but not ideal for tuning. The 41029 header works great too and seems to fit better on most narrower chassis and I've never been disappointed in the 41021 although is sometimes does not fit very well in several chassis. I had a 9901 pipe for a while and it just seemed to restrictive and slow overall. I tend to drive smooth and like a bit more punch than most to keep me driving harder.
