I'm not discouraging you from buying a power plate, but IMO, something else is going on. I sometimes run my buggy on a large parking lot. I'll set the HSN to almost flush and I'm wot 80% of the time, at least. Having said that, I can get 7+ minutes runtime. On a track, race tuned, 9+ minutes all day long, usually 10+. 7mm restricter. Make sure your clutch, drive train, etc... is all in good working order.
