Okay, we need to get some rules in stone. Don't really think it's fair to be changing up the rules after we've registered. Some of us, myself included, have already purchased motors or have been practicing with them. I purchased two D3.5 13.5s in the last month. To change them after the fact doesn't sound right to me. I know that "I" can afford to buy another motor. But what about the other racers that can't afford to purchase another motor? Why are we all of a sudden banning all D3.5s? For a race this big, I know some people that have to budget out several months ahead of time.
In hindsight, maybe registration should not have opened until rules were set in place or not registered until the rules were set in place. Before the D3.5 17.5 motor made it back onto the ROAR approved list, I picked up some other 17.5 motors to avoid something like this. Never did I imagine that the 21.5 and 13.5 motors would run into this issue. Not once on this thread nor any other threads did I read that the 21.5 and 13.5 motors were not legal.
So, Scotty..... what's the good word! I'd really love to know the reasoning behind this ban. If I missed something then apologies are due. Not mad...just a little frustrated.
