A little update from the weekend. Did some running side by side again with my buddy at the outdoor asphalt track, both running the HT/HT combo apex2. Again, both running TC, same gearing, same fan, same endbell timing, and we run our cars very similarly and run almost identical laptimes... I come off the track at 180, and he comes off at 130-140.
I checked the rotor shimming, and it looked fine. I took out 1 tiny shim from both sides and made sure the rotor wasn't touching the sensor board... and it made no difference. Geared up 1 tooth, no difference... geared down one tooth... no difference.
perplexed!
