- I know the 811 2.0 is the their current best but with a hectic life ect, embarrassingly I've been attracted to RTR's as of late.
About a year ago I picked up a thunder tiger mt4 and love the fact that I can just take it out every now and then and bush the hell out of it and break nothing.
And while I love the building and never ending upgrading, for now those days are over.
I'm wondering how the RTR version of this car compares to the full on 2.0 roller and would I just be better off sucking it up and getting the roller, BL/ESC/control separately?
If the rtr is high quality and rugged like the roller, I would just go with that. If not, I'll just get the roller.
I've been in this hobby on and off for about 22 years and its always great to see a beautiful design like this serpent!
Appreciate any help and insight gents.
If you want to go racing i would get the 2.0 roller for the fact you will have to upgrade the rear to the 2.0 rear end. THe 2.0 roller has better material for the outdrives and driveshafts. After all is said and done you will probably pay more to upgrade the rtr then if you would have started with the 2.0 roller. If you just want to bash or are on a very tight budget the RTR is a good starting point.
