No, it's actually the opposite. 2s 4wd scts draw more constant amps than 4s powered buggies. High Kv motors and 2 cell batteries put huge strain on electronics. Couple that with the ~7lb running weight and you've got a huge amp draw. Deans work well on 8th scale electric because 4s systems with low Kv motors are much more efficient. 4mm bullets and up are the only way to go for 4wd shortcourse. I'd say deans are a no-go on 4wd shortcourse because they can't sustain the amps these trucks dish out. I don't even like them on my e-buggy and i only run them because if i don't, i void my battery's warranty. They're a pain to solder as well compared to bullet plugs. I really don't get why they're so popular.
If that's the theory than those little 1/24 scale electric cars must need connectors the size of car battery posts!!!
