Im running the stock spur with a 19 pinion pretty much on tracks like the video on the last page, diffs are 7k front and 5k rear, should I be going up or down a tooth in the pinion to perhaps reduce the motor heating up ???
Sam how hot is it getting? On the Nosram speedy if you hold the mode button on while turning on the switch the green LED will initially blink to show the temp of the speedy. Press mode again and it will give a series of flashes to show how far from thermal cutoff the temp is. The closer to 10 blinks the closer you are to thermal cutoff.

We race here in Perth in some very hot conditions with the combo you are using and the same gearing and never more than 8 blinks for motor temp after 5 min race and 2 min warmup.
