Hey guys, I had a 210 kit last year, but I sold it (mistake!). Now I'm thinking about getting another 210, but I'm on a really tight budget (university). Anyone running the 210 RTR? As far as I can tell it is exactly the same as the kit, but it has a gear diff with plastic outdrives and a plastic chassis. The ESC and motor look like they should be enough to race with and the price on the RTR is amazing. Anyone know if the plastic compounds are the same, or if there are any chassis issues with the RTR? I won't be using the stock servo or Tx/Rx.
Cliffnotes: Is the RTR platform any different than the kit? (besides the obvious parts)
The RTR one has a plastic chassis and I suspect the reason they are blowing them out is to make the chassis change to the B (newer stronger plastic one).
The kit has the alum chassis but it is not +8. The outdrives are not plastic, they are steel and have a plastic cap but I took them off after finding they would rub.
I would change the servo out but the SP stuff works fine for stock.
